Working in Numbers 3.2 I want to have Date and Time update itself each time document is opened. I've been able to insert Date and Time in the Footer and manually change date but unable to have it change automatically. I've tried the control click with out success.

In a table cell (not a page footer) enter the formula =NOW()
NOW (Date & Time) will update each time you open the document or make a change anywhere in the document.

Used to be able to do that in any text box (i.e., not a formula). Is that no longer possible?
Looks like I've been sending out invoices with nonsensical dates since the "update" to 3 (Thanks Apple).

Hi Neal (not Niel or Neil or kneel, my mother taught me well 😉),
Insert Date & Time (in Numbers '09) is a casualty in Numbers 3, (except in Print Preview into Page Headers and Footers).
Do you want a Time Stamp?
Click once in the NOW table (single cell, or it could be anywhere)
Copy.
Click once where you want the Time Stamp.
Menu > Edit > Paste Formula Results.
That will "fix" the Date & Time.
