This is an imei number for a product that has been replaced!

Hello,

I bought a iPhone 5 32gb but it has a sim lock. I tried to find out which provider it has and then I saw "This is an imei number for a product that has been replaced!" on the website http://myimeiunlock.com. Is my iPhone functional?

Most ebay phones turn out to be not what they are advertised as. IMEI websites are often useless. If the phone has a SIM lock, only the carrier can unlock it. If the phone was sold as unlocked on ebay, contact the seller and return it for a refund and contact ebay resolution center. There is nothing anyone here can do about your dilemma. Apple does not unlock phones.
