Passbook issues with Apple Store and Target

According to the list of "Passbook-enabled apps" I should be able to add the Apple Store and Target apps to my Passbook. I've used Passbook for United boarding passes and I think it works great! I also have added AAA, AAdvantage and Hilton Honors to Passbook with no issues. But, I am having trouble adding the Apple Store and Target to Passbook. It's not clear to me whether I would be adding my Target account or my Target Redcard Account to Passbook. It's also possible, but not clear to me, whether Apple Store items get added to Passbook only when I have a Genius Bar appointment or other specific item. I'm pretty literate and have researched this in the discussion boards but haven't found anything to answer this particular issues. Thanks!!
