Battery Problem: Replace Now

So I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro and a MagSafe charger that is about 5 months old. This morning, I tried to charge my laptop because I drained the battery until 0% but the light stays green and it says that the battery is not charging and Condition: Replace Now.

I tried resetting the SMC. I just want to make sure if it is really the battery problem or something else, because it wouldn't be pleasing if I paid for a new battery and it turns out that the problem is not really the battery.

Here's the information of my battery

If you search these forums you will find many tales of woe from users who have purchased batteries from third party sources. Too many of them are very inferior knock offs and the net result is that the buyer winds up spending as much money or more than they would have purchasing a battery from Apple.

I hope that you get your problem sorted out to your satisfaction.

Ciao.
