itunes 11.3 does not recognize ios devices

Just updates iTunes to 11.3 and neither iPhone 5S nor iPad Air recognized in iTunes. Using PC with Windows 8.1. Version prior to this week's update worked just fine. Restarted both PC and iPhone. iOS devices recognized by computer but not iTunes.
