i am 12 years old. I have an olympus pen lite and want to download video footage from it into a mac. However, I can't see the video in imovie...is the camera not compatible with apple at all? or would it work with final cut pro??

according to its manual, your cam offers two video-'modes'.
for future projects, set cam to AVCHD, not 'mjpg.avi' (read the manual)
tell us a little more how you try to accomplish the import ..
Cam connected via usb to Mac, or SDcard into some card-reader?
Is the cam/card visible in Finder?
