Connecting iPad/iPhone/MacPro to DLINK DIR-506L

Hi,

I have a new DLink router DIR-506L. It appears on all my (MacPro, iPhone, iPad) devices but when I try to connect it, it says '' Unable to join the network DIR-506L''. However, my father has a Samsung tablet and a Galaxy S4 and a HTC and they all connect with no problem at all, immediately, so I assume it must be a setup issue since it's only Apple products that won't join the network?

I already tried to restart, reboot, re-everything everything(the devices, the dlink) but nothing worked... any ideas?

Start by reading the router's manual. If you don't have one then download one from the Dlink website. If that doesn't help then contact Dlink tech support. Note that many Dlink products will not work with Macs or work poorly with Macs.

Hey kappy, thanks for answering so quickly. I did read it all, actually, I've been going through it for the last few hours... The setup worked, as I said, all devices, that are not ''apple'', did connect immediately

Hi, so in case anybody has the same problem, we have just managed to find the solution :

You need to login to the router settings and lower the MPU from 1500 to 1400. everything works fine now
