Mouse double clicking

I had a mouse double clicking problem with my logitech mouse. Every time I click once it clicks twice. This happens with both the left and right click. I bought a new mouse and within days, it had the same problem. I bought a third mouse and once again, in days it had a double clicking problem. It seems pretty obvious that there's something wrong with my computer.
I have a Macbookpro 2012 running Mountain Lion.

Check System Preferences -> Mouse

Check System Preferences -> Accessibility (or it might be called Universal Access).

You want to look for mouse sensitivity and double-click speeds.

Do you have 3rd party software that might be interfering with your mice? You can try booting into "Safe" mode, which will not load 3rd party additions and see if that improves things. That would give a strong indication that it is 3rd party software causing issues.

If you want others to look at your 3rd party software installed, you could post the EtreCheck output
