how do i get iTunes extras to play on Apple TV when i am streaming from my iMac ?
They won’t stream from your Mac best I can tell. To get/see Extras on your Apple TV, go to your purchased Movies on the Apple TV and when you play the movie you’ll see a menu for extras and chapter selection instead of the movie playing immediately.
You can't which is a complete nuisance.
We've waited nearly 4 years for AppleTV 2 and 3 to do something AppleTV 1 could, and they've made it cloud only!
Old iTunes extras which you may have downloaded in the past are apparently 'different' to the new extras - the old 'extras' won't stream to AppleTV 2/3, and you cannot download the new ones to iTunes, only play them from the cloud in iTunes or from Purchases in the cloud on AppleTV.
Still Apple knows what's good for you - they know everyone now has 24/7 unlimited broadband wherever they are on the planet 😠
