time machine backup failed
Hi,
I am trying to set up a Time Machine backup from a MacbookPro to a Mac Mini running os x server.
- The machines are on 2 separate LAN, no firewall on the router
- Systems are both os x 10.9.4 build 13E28
- both filesystems are MAC OS extended (journaled)
- Server app on the mac mini is version 3.1.2 (13S4517)
- The macbook is binded to the OD on the macmini, and on an AD, the mac mini is also binded to the AD : so it is a usual integration in a microsoft network
- The user account on the macbook is a network user.
- The backup network directory can be mounted using afp
- The Time machine configuration has been applied through profile manager
The result :
Jul 12 21:54:19 [HOSTNAME].local com.apple.backupd[11002]: Starting manual backup
Jul 12 21:54:19 [HOSTNAME].local com.apple.backupd[11002]: Attempting to mount network destination URL: afp://[USER]@[SERVERFQDN]/[TMDIR]

Jul 12 21:56:52 [HOSTNAME].local com.apple.backupd[11002]: Ejected Time Machine network volume.
I have tried to set up the TM backup dir on several volumes, on several HD : internal and on a promise storage attached through thunderbolt
the backup size is arround 85GB and depending on backup volume, there is 250GB to 8TB free disk space.
I have tried from 2 Macbook Pro, same version
So, any ideas ? Does Time Machine work through different local networks ?
