iPhoto issue for OSx 10.6.8

I recently had my macbook formatted because it was giving me heaps of trouble, sometimes didn't even start.

However now I'm runnin osx 10.6.8 and iPhoto is nowhere to be found.

I have gone to the appstore and tried to pay 13.99 for the app but that didn't work since the new version requires 10.9 or higher of OSx.

How do I get iPhoto on my macbook running 10.6.8?
