i lost all my apps from iPhone

i plugged my iPhone 5s into my iMac and it downloaded all my new pictures as normal. but when i removed my iPhone all my apps are gone then when i wanted to reinstall them i lost all my progress for all my games and all my pictures are gone from my picture vault what happened this ever did that before
