Can we use Time Capsule with Windows?

We set up a new Time Capsule today and both our Macs have Internet access through it, but not our Windows laptop. What do we need to do?

For internet access you would connect to it in the same way as you would connect to any wireless router.

I appreciate your reply, but the problem is that when we choose the network to join we get the message "problem found with wireless adaptor or access point." We have three computers in the house, 2 Macs and 1 Windows. The Macs were able to connect to the wifi network easily. The Windows laptop was on the previous network on Airport Express. Now we have a Time Machine that the Windows laptop can't connect with. Any further ideas would be welcome!

Make sure you have the airport utility for windows installed.. it is not much use with the latest AC model airports but does load bonjour for windows.

In the Mac, redo the setup of the TC.

Use all short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric. ie TCgen5 good base station name.

TC24ghz and TC5ghz for wireless.. I strongly recommend you use different names for the two bands.. at least to troubleshoot.

Use no security for a test. If windows cannot connect to 2.4ghz change the channels and try 11, 6, 1 in that order.

Once you have it working add security.. WPA2 Personal with a 10-20 character pure alphanumeric password.
