I recently downloaded some video effect plguins for final cut pro x. After I download them I opened up FCP x. When I looked at my new plugins, it glitched and went red (the plugin showed blank red), my FCP crashed and will crash whenever I look at the new video effect. How canm i fix this?

What FCP version are you using? Are the plugins compatible?
My plugins were out of date. I deleted them throught FCP folder and now my FCP is crashing whenever I boot it up.

would that delete my projects? I want to save my projects. There all on my mac hardrive. If I trash preferences will that delete my videos?

My preferences for FCP dont show up.. 😟
Are you looking in the home Library preferences? Hold Option-Command when you launch the application.
