With the CD in your drive and the titles displayed in iTunes, just double click the song you want to preview. It will play in iTunes from the CD.
When downloading from CD's I do not want to download every song.
With the CD displayed, uncheck the boxes for the tracks you don't want. Once you start the rip (Import), only the tracks that have checks will be added to your iTunes library.
How do I select specific songs when downloading music from a CD. All songs are not created equal.
