airport express as a hub for iPad to print in vehicle.

Heres what I'm trying to do:

I want to print from my iPad to my Canon IP100 (non bluetooth, non airprint) small mobile printer in my pickup out in the field (no internet, no other computer).

I'm told I can use my airport express as a "hub" to do this. I have been unsuccessful in setting my airport up to make this happen. has anyone else been able to do this?

Thanks

It should work but the problem is you will need to use an app in the ipad to allow printing.. the native system is airprint only.

You must have the express setup as router.. and it will toss up loads of errors.. no wan connection, no dns etc.. you need to ignore all of those.

Ensure your ipad gets an IP from the express and that the correct drivers are loaded for the printer, plus whichever app you choose.
