itouch not syncing

Hi


My itouch is (again) unalbe to sync after the latest update to itunes


All my song appear on the itouch, but with a red dot beside them indicating they have not synced. If i go in usage it appears I have no music on my itouch...


I have:

done a hard reboot of my itouch and computer

installed and reinsatlled itunes

erased all music on my itouch

made sure the driver is properly installed : http://www.technipages.com/itunes-fix-iphone-or-ipod-not-detected-in-windows-8

tried syncing only the music


Don't know what to do, I'm about to chuck this piece of crap out the window, I can't believe this, I paid 300$ for player that doesn't work half the time...
