FCP X Crashes every time I try to add something to my project

Earlier on I happened to install some out of date plugins for FCP X. When I went to look at the plugins it crashed. I deleted the plugin files through the application support but the plugins still show on my mac (they dont work of course). I safe rebooted my mac and I could then watch my project and trim clips, but whenever I went to add music, or any other effect, it crashed. How can I edit my project??? 😟 Im on FCP X 10.1
