Sep 13, 2014 10:19 AM in response to Apple4Ever556by babowa,The only way to get the iDVD themes is to reinstall the iDVD app and the themes from the iLife disk - which version did you have on yours? iLife 09 or 11?

Sep 13, 2014 12:50 PM in response to Apple4Ever556by babowa,It won't let you install the older version because you've got an updated one...... so, if you want all the themes, you'd need to delete the version you've got and then start over, first with iLife 09 (make sure you tick all the themes in the custom install window); then run software update. Right after that, use the ilife 11 disk and install that iDVD and the themes. Then run software update again.
When you delete the application iDVD, also go to your hard drive > Library > Application Support > iDVD > throw out (temporarily put it on your desktop) what in the Themes folder (you can put it back if you need to later or throw it in the trash if your install works).
FYI, the app store didn't let you update to iLife 11 technically - it's difficult to explain: you have a retail version (I have the same thing) and iDVD was being updated by software update. The "new" mac app store "iLife 11" isn't the same thing - it only has iMovie, Garageband, and iPhoto, there is no more iDVD. So, if you want it, make sure you keep your install disks. Now, sooner or later, it will happen that a new OS (maybe Yosemite, maybe the one after that) will no longer support iDVD because Apple won't support "older" software forever - at that point, you'll need to make a decision: do you want the new OS or do you want to use iDVD (and maybe some other older software).

I have no idea what you are talking about. Old themes from a version prior to iLife '09? Since I've never used iDVD for anything I'm probably the wrong person to ask.
