New to Apple TV

New to Apple TV

I Can't get to the set up screen. Screen is black and I've tried everything like different cables and another tv but nothing. I'm sure it is something simple but I've got no more ideas.

Try changing resolution:

Change the Apple TV resolution:

Press and hold the Menu and Up button on your Apple Remote for six seconds.
The Apple TV will automatically cycle to the next resolution at approximately 20 second intervals.
Press Play on the Apple Remote to keep the current resolution or Select to manually cycle to the next resolution.

you can also try testing with another tv

and another thing on the tv one needs to choose the correct input source the tv don't know it should automatic switch to the appletv when it's conneted
