mini imac webcam not broadcasting skype

mini imac OSx 10.6.8

genius mac certified external usb webcam

this was working fine (also with yahoo & skype Y more) before (till 2012/2013)

since updating OS and skype....

the imac does not broadcast the video stream anymore

camera is however recognized and working with other services

skype video call will receive the other side video stream and also show the stream of the camera on the mini imac end side.

However, the other side (windows, mac and android systems) do not receive the stream of the mini imac....

any suggestions ??
