Can I use a UK iPhone 4 or 4s in US?

I Have a choice of two UK iPhones - 4 or 4s to use with a Three Mobile sim that's good for use in America.

Is there any reason why either of these phones would not work?

Both the phones will work in America.

Not quite sure what you mean by a three mobile sim that is good for use in america?

If it's a uk sim you will be charged roaming unless you have a deal with Three.

Though if you want to put an American sim into it you need to be unlocked.

If your phone is not carrier locked then you can use an American Sim if you choose.

Three Mobile has a UK plan that gives the same allowance when used abroad. Currently that's 200 minutes, 5000 texts, and unlimited data.

Its a really good deal so I want to use it on my vacation.

I looked into buying an American sim but data is expensive on a short term plan or payg.
