I have a library of about 3700 songs as MP3's. I can fit all of it on my 20 gb iPod. I have a mac air with a 128 g memory and I am running out of space. and the computer indicates it is using 43 GB of memory to store the music which, as it all fits on the iPod is only about 18.5 gb. I need the extra memory on the computer, how can I get this memory back?

When you add music to iTunes it puts a copy of the music in the media folder unless you did so by dragging to the Automatically Add To iTunes folder. Delete the original.

"Memory" refers to RAM or temporary memory used for performing computer functions. Drive space refers to room to store files.

I think you meant GB, not "gb" or just "b" Multimillion dollar mistakes have been made for less.
