How long does it take to receive a message to change your password and security?

My little brother got a $15 iTunes gift card to buy one of his games at the App Store. I clicked the buy button and it popped up to this other page where I had to answer these questions ( " What is your first pets name, where did your mother and father met, what is your dream job" ) which I forgot the answers to. But I did go to the apple website to try and change my password and security. But the email is taking a little long. I've sent it a few times but I haven't received the email to change my security stuff.

You have to contact Apple by one of these means. Just reseting the pasword does not work. Did you do one of these, like sending it to your rescue email address?
