IMAP issues

I have recently set up my email account designating IMAP over POP on the desktop PC using Outlook 2013 with my provider Time Warner. When using all the settings TWC says to use in setting up my account on my iPhone and IPad I keep getting an error message that says it does my recognize the server. Anyone have an idea of what might be the issue? I have checked both incoming and outgoing server designations and Ports to make they are correct. The setup using "other" does not allow me to designate IMAP over Pop as it searches automatically and I then have to enter the information manually.
