idvd won't burn.

Please read Your Question again. What fact's do You supply to even point me/us in any direction to start to guess. No offence but Please give more info.

a. Does the CD/DVD-burner work at all ?

- Playback Audio CDs

- Playback Video-DVDs (commercial ones)

b. What video-codec was the material in that You feed iDVD ?

c. What brand and type of DVD disks did You use ? e.g. Verbatim SL-DVD-R

d. Free space on Start-Up Hard disk (Boot / Macintosh HD) ?

e. Versions of programs and Mac OS - used in this case ?

f. Quality Encoding selected in iDVD ?

g. Total duration of all material (videos) You want onto Your DVD ?

And this is just a start - see all this can not be retrieved if You don't help me/us. It's not being un-polite - it is being no Magic 😉

For what it is worth I found it best to export a disk image in iDVD whenever it failed to burn a disk.

It is in the File menu I think.

Once that is exported burn it from Disk Utility. Of course this doesn't help when iDVD dies when muxing the video for the disc, but giving iDVD one less thing to do seemed to help 🙂
