Problem charging iPhone

For the past few days while charging my iPhone, about 1/2 way thru the charging process, I get a message that my charging cable is not supported, then my phone stops charging, I am using an authentic IPhone cables ( not cheap knock offs) . I even purchased a new one today, but received the same message. Why is this happening and what can be done to resolve this issue? I have already tried resetting my phone.
