how do I map my PC/iTunes to an external harddrive? I previously used the external harddrive and I want to continue to add music to it.
Open iTunes preferences and click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar. There you can change the path to the iTunes library.
Is the iTunes Library.itl file on the external drive? If so press and hold down shift as you launch iTunes, then browse to the library file and open it.
If you don't have the .itl on the drive do you still have the previous computer, or a backup, or an iPod or iOS device?
