Using Iphoto 9.5 1 on macbook pro using 10.9.4. I transfer in photos using a card reader. The photos show up in recent photos but do not show up in events or in overall photos or past 12 months. If i load new photos , I no longer can find the previously loaded photos.
They are in events - you are just looking in the wrong place
99.999% of the time this is due to one of two reasons
1 - the date/time on our camera is set wrong - to fix correct it on the camera and to fix alt he ready imported photos select them and use the adjust time and date command
2 - an incorrect sort for events - correct in the view menu ==> sort events
