Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I got a new macair recently and set it up so both myself and my boyfriend can sign in as users.
It is my computer but when I go to download updates it asks for an apple ID and the email comes up in grey - there is no option to change from his ID to mine even when I'm signed into my user area.
How can I set it so it allows a choice of users or sets me as the administrator?

An app can only be updated with the Apple ID that bought it, regardless of the number of folks with accounts set up in OS X on a Mac. As long as he bought the app, his ID has to update the app.
Thank you. But I'm still confused.
The Apps are the ones which come installed on the computer. I bought the computer & registered it.
So shouldn't it allow me to update with my ID?
