Ill click 'play' and it will start playing, but it stays at 0:00 and no sound is made. When I move the little diamond to skip ahead to different parts of the song, it will lag a ton and then just get stuck at the time i dragged it to. It doesnt not play, it plays but gets stuck and makes no sound (the pause button shows, not the play button). I'm running windows 8.1 and I updated itunes 2 hours ago, so my system is up to date.
What kind of computer do you have? You might need to download a new driver. I had a Lenovo and I was having the same problem as you until I downloaded a new driver.
Its a samsung laptop, and what driver should i download? I just updated every driver related to sound yesterday but it didnt do anything :/

These are the most recent drivers I have on my computer:

If your drivers all seem up to date, you could try deleting and redownloading iTunes.
I'll delete and redownload iTunes, but I reeeeeeeeeeeally dont want my play counts to get deleted 😟 how can I avoid that?
