When I tried to download a huge file in Safari but also later with a small file I got that message!
Watching videos in Youtube did not bring the pop up but the computer often freezes for a couple of seconds!

Not memory. File sizes refer to storage space. There's a difference.
Click your Apple menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.

Sorry I am late! Still don't know exactly what it was but it stop bothering the last weeks, it has 30 gb free thats 25%! I did erase a few things so that might be. Hope it doesn't appear again. Thank you!!
