contacts folder empty
I tried to follow the advice given by Pascal in 2008: go to homefolder>library>applicationsupport>ab but it didn't work because there is no ab. Any other suggestions? Can't restore it from my time machine.

In Finder's Go menu, choose Go to Folder, paste this in...
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/
Do you see these files?
