I have several pictures on my ipad that a friend texted me. I want to deleted them but when I tap the screen there is no trashcan icon only the airdrop icon and a done on the top left. These pictures do not show up in my camera roll, photo stream or albums
If the photo is in iMessages hold your finger on the photo, tap more, then tap the trash can.

Thanks, that worked. I had to hold my finger there for a while for the dialog to appear.
You're welcome. If that method isn't quick enough you can always delete the whole conversation.
