Is their a way to disable the Battery MacPro15inch 2008/9

And yes i have seen the relevant responses here. They do not mention the FACT that the Battery expands and since it is directly below the track pad can AND HAS expanded , making the track pad useless . I know for i've had to replace mine.

I will note here that on my Mac Pro book it was possible to open the back and let lose the Battery, thus allowing me to work on ac power only... for about a year before i could afford another one.

I do not want a repeat so ask ... and pray... that there is a way.

ps.. sorry about posting here BUT~ I do have Final Cut and can't seem to find a Hardware section for MacBOOK pro 2008/9 15inch.

The instructions there are for battery replacement, but you can just do the removing part.

SO ! it will continue to work without the battery... then, When i did it I kept the battery still connected, just not as tight as when it had the back fixed.

Thanks... wasn't sure.

Earlier models with easily removable batteries used to clamp the processor speed to 75% max when running without the battery. Is this still the case with built-in batteries?

If so, you may want to leave the battery connected.
