My phone rings when I get a call, the alarm goes off, but when someone sends me a text message I do not hear my text tone. My iphone 5 is NOT on "do not disturb" and it's not on vibrate/mute. Any ideas/suggestions?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
After installing iOS 7.1.2 I can no longer hear my text message tone.
