How to shut off voice function?

So as all fun things begin, my cat crawled across my keyboard on my MacBook Pro. She set off some kind of function, I think the message was saying something about a tutorial on how to use the voice functions, so I hit cancel on the program thinking that would shut things off just fine. When I try to type on my keyboard though the keys won't respond and nothing appears on screen search bars or internet address bars. I can type in my password to unlock the computer but beyond that the keys won't work. How do I find the function and shut it down?
