I am unable to delete music from my iPhone 5s

I am unable to delete music from my iPhone 5s.

I have removed all but 39 tracks by manually deleting them, but the last 39 tracks are some of the ones that were synced from the cloud (purchased).

Swiping left does not bring the delete button up on these items.

settings/iTunes & appstore/music turned off

settings/iTunes & appstore/downloads turned off

settings/music/show all music turned off

Try this:

Delete all the music:
Settings > General > Usage > Music > Edit (top right) > ➖ > Delete


Then sync back the songs you want.
