Can't change 13" MacBook Pro display resolution to 1440x900

Ok this is really ******* me off; I can't change my display resolution to 1440x900 from 1280x800. The only other option is 1024x640 and that's definitely not the way to go. Someone please help me fix this or at least let me know why this is happening? Is it normal?

Says the original MacBook didn't have 1440x900 native, however an external display could have higher resolution. Sounds like you need an external display

for higher resolutions, unless you can tell us more specifically what MacBook you have. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6413

Sorry, I misread what you have. Anyway, iOS is the operating system for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and AppleTV.

A 13" MacBook Pro bought a year and half ago, would be early 2013 MacBook Pro or a Retina 2012. It does support higher scaled resolutions:

If neither of these appear to be your machine, use this tip to identify your Mac:

Something tells me you don't have the 13" Model pro that is from that time frame. But first you must properly identify your Mac.
