Update 9.5.1 has deleted my albums and recent images

I had no choice but to update iphoto to 9.5.1. Having done this, I have lost all albums, all images since 2012.

I did get these back once on a restart, but nothing since.

How do I get iphoto back to see my images?

Do the following:

1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.

2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.
