Ever since iTunes 11.3 was released I haven't been able to sync my iPhone 5s. The sync goes through steps 1 to 5 and then when it reaches step 6 it conceals the sync. I have restarted my 2013 iMac and my iPhone and still no success. I see where people with Windows installed are having similar issues, but no Windows here. Anybody have similar issues or a solution? Or do we have to wait for iTunes 11.3.1?

I have tried to sync over wi-fi and connected to my mac and each time it canals the sync on step 6.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Thanks for taking the time with this! I was bale to get one 'good' sync after following your instructions. The cancel sync is happening when it gets to the point where it is suppose to transfer my music files to the iPhone. Just doesn't want to transfer the music. Heres the latest console report from the latest sync attempt.

This looks like a problem with the phone. I would tell you to reset and/or erase it, but I'm not sure you would be able to restore from a backup, even if you have one. I suggest you take it to an Apple Store for testing.

I think I might have found a solution. I went into Time Machine and restored my iTunes library from the day of my last successful sync (Saturday, July 12). And now all my checked music is syncing properly. Except my recent iTunes music won't sync. Still working on that one.

As soon as I plug my iphone 5s into my macbook, itunes freezes and i have to force close it.

I've got a similar issue after updating itunes to 11.3 - itunes freezes (spinning beach ball) as soon as it tries syncing to my iphone 5. Anyone have any suggestion?
I tried:
- turning off automatic sync
- synching through wifi without USB
- synching through USB without wifi
- deleting all podcasts
- rebooting
- resetting sync services (OS X: Resetting Sync Services)
- and deleting the sync services folder
The console shows the same error message every 10 seconds [dates and addresses removed]:

I am loosing faith in Apple. I have never seen so many ridiculous fixes having to be applied to achieve simple things. No normal customer wants to go in to terminal or mess about with plists. I remember when you plugged you iPhone/iPod into your computer clicked sync and guess what, it synced. SORT IT OUT APPLE!!!!!!!! So I have this iTunes problem, my boss had to turn his old computer in to Target drive mode to migrate his old stuff over to his new mac because it didn't recognise his thunderbolt cable that, other than usb, is now the ONLY way to transfer info (wifi isn't worth considering before some no-it-all points that out). Your products and software are fast becoming a joke.
