Jul 15, 2014 5:14 AM in response to Knuckles2001by a brody,The iBook G3's OpenGL support is fairly weak. You can only run up to Mac OS X 10.3.9 on the older iBook G3s without Firewire, and Mac OS X 10.4.11 with. Games usually give graphics chip requirements. You can find out which graphics chip you have with this website:

Jul 15, 2014 6:18 AM in response to Knuckles2001by bund,The OpenGl version provided by 10.3.9 is version 1.5 (included in the 10.3.9 combo-update?)
Check the system requirements for your game.
The non firewire iBook with 4MB VRAM is not a speed demon, only a limited number of OSX games perform well.
The original iBook was released back in 1999 with OS8.6 / OS9, so it is recommended to stick to games which were released in those years, e.g. Age of Empires Gold edition which runs both on OS9 and OSX.
