Jul 16, 2014 4:24 PM in response to apiselliby Csound1,Not offhand, no.
Was the daisy spinning before you attempted the upgrade, and is that why you tried to update.

Jul 16, 2014 4:28 PM in response to Csound1by apiselli,It was suggested this was the procedure in other posts of similar incidents- and then if you have read the previous discussions it is where I am right now!
Yes the daisy was spinning before I attempted the upgrade- it is what lead me to this point.

Jul 16, 2014 4:30 PM in response to apiselliby Csound1,Have you attempted a safe start?
Restart, at the sound of the chime press and hold the shift key, when you see the progress bar you can release it. Safe starts take longer than normal, do not interrupt it.

You have to talk to me like that?! That is extremely unprofessional!

and so that I can anticipate what is to happen or should happen...so I can relay that...instead of one sentence at a time
to experience a Normal conversation.

Jul 16, 2014 7:02 PM in response to apiselliby apiselli,After waiting I searched forums again and now I re-started insafe and held down shift-command-V and at the very end when it stopped showing me information on progress it reached
"BootCacheControl: Unable to to open / var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory" next line "pci pause: SDXC"
Where do I go from here??

You have asked for help, not a class in Macs. And in between that you haven't bothered to respond to my questions, frankly this is like pulling teeth.
So decide if you actually want my help, if you do then stop asking and start answering my questions. If you don't that is also fine.
