Disabling Mavericks Update Pop-Up???

Our company uses Deep Freeze on Mac machines running 10.6.8, and we will continue to use 10.6.8 (atleast one more year) for various reasons.

All of our computers have the Apple Software update checker set to "Never" check for updates, yet we are still seeing a pop-up window (seems totally random) asking our employees if they want to "Update to Mavericks".
