Q: FCP7 won't recognize Canon XH A1

I'm trying to capture footage in FCP 7 from a Canon XH A1, but it's not being recognized.

I've tried using both a 4 pin to 9 pin firewire, and 4 pin to 6 pin firewire, but neither works.

Computer:

Mac Pro

MacPro1, 1

Dual-Core Intel Xeon

2.66 GHz

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
