iMovie Quick and Easy Saving

Hi folks,

I have an extremely basic requirement that seems to be a mountain of trouble.

I'm studying a lecture for a course. I can download the video and import it into iMovie.

The cutting part is super simple. Select and backspace.

What takes forever is "saving" it again.

The only way I can see is to Share -> File which takes forever to rewrite/save the file. My current one is 10 mins long and it's taking like 5 mins to save it.

How can I speed up this process?
