I can't access my personalized yahoo homepage using my first generation iPad

I made the mistake of clearing my cookies and data from my Safari browser (and rebooting my first generation iPad). When I try to log into my yahoo account (not for email, just for my homepage), it's as if the login page isn't responding. I can input my user name and password in the appropriate fields, but when I try to click the 'Sign In' button, nothing happens. No error message, just nothing. Anyone else having this problem, and is there a workaround?
