MacBook Pro, continuous beeping

I had dropped my MBP a few months ago and my hard drive had been clicking, it had finally stopped working on me about two months ago and when I power it up it just beeps continuously. There aren't any pauses, it's just continuous. When I had asked about I before on here was told that it was the RAM. I had replaced the hard drive first (hitachi, I replaced it myself) and the beeping continued, so I went ahead and bought a new RAM too, a 2x4gb Crucial brand, and installed it since everyone says that continuous beeping means that the RAM is the problem. It still beeps. And the beeps are still continuous, the pauses are equally long. What else could be the problem? I'm completely out of ideas and the nearest apple store is 2.5 hours away. I'm not trying to make that drive unless I have to. Ideas?

Could be the computer suffered damages to the logic board or

other main component when it was dropped, and that is what

is still wrong with it. Of course the hard drive & other bits may

have also been affected.

Has an authorized Apple service provider tested the computer

and performed a thorough diagnostic since it was damaged?

If you are within proximity of an Apple Store with Genius bar

you could arrange an appointment for a genius or expert to

test or diagnose the computer for other defects, however as

new parts have been installed & old ones moved around, it

may be a little more involved. Several locations with a Genius

can perform a free diagnostic, and give advice on service;

and the computer need not have an AppleCare plan in effect.

Given the nature of the device, that is about the best advice.

Hopefully a specialist or expert can resolve the issues.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

im beginning to think the logic board may be the issue as well. Sigh, I guess I'm going to have to go get it tested. I haven't gone to get it seen only because the nearest Genius Bar is so far away, but I'm going to actually need my MBP working soon so I suppose I'll make the trip. Worst case scenario I'll have to get it shipped off to be fixed. Thanks for your insight though, it really helped!
