why does command key show in upper right corner

When I press a command or control key, a representation of that key show up in the upper right corner of my display. How do I turn the off?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

System Preferences->Accessibility->Keyboard->Deselect 'Enable Sticky Keys'.
