Old Mac Pro connect to iMac

I have a late 2007 MacBook Pro 17" which doesn't have a MiniDisplay port. It has a VGA, ethernet, Firewire 400, 800 and 3x USB. I put an SSD drive in it and it still works pretty good for my purposes but I want to connect it to my iMac which is a bit newer to use the large display. The iMac has ethernet, 2x thunderbolt, firewire 800, and 4x USB. Is there any way I can do this??? Help please?

LGK

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
